DOWN BY THE WATER is a cross-cultural documentary film about winter scenes and story of people who lives around the Qianhai River and Houhai River area in Beijing.  Through four different groups of people telling the details and transformation of life in Beijing in the past 40 years, it presents a fresh and unique humanistic picture of Beijing winter.
